Today I am a king

This is an entry about teeth with 1 comment

Yesterday was my last dentist appointment for the purposes of taking out all my old fillings and replacing them with space-age polymers. It was a long process, made a little better by my dental insurance covering 80% of the bill, except for the one crown (50%), but I deleted most of the insurance information because I don’t really understand how it works and it is really boring.

Anyhow, from what I understand, the old style fillings deteriorate over time and tooth decay moves in, unless you act now, which I did, over a series of months. The very able Dr. Levi and team worked their magic and I did feel a little pinch, but then I was fine.

Dr. Levi’s office isn’t in a bad part of town, nor is the building particularly seedy, yet they have a sign in the elevator which I’ve never seen: is that The Shadow trying to steal my wallet?

Beware of Pickpockets

Like I said, yesterday the custom built and work of art crown was cemented into my mouth or gums or gaping hole, marking the last procedure I should be having for long a long time. Since the stunning beauty is in my mouth, I can only show you the temporary crown (complete with a startling and tiny hole) sitting in the plush box the real one arrived in.

Don’t forget to floss!
