We won’t be in town for N’s birthday next week, so we had some friends over last night to drink1 and eat food2. Since it wasn’t nearly as weird or awkward as I would have thought, and all I had to really do was buy stuff, why not do it again at some point? We only went through 1/4 of the hard liquor. The vermouth didn’t even get cracked open.
Everyone was eagerly anticipating the first guest to arrive.
Kellie’s wedding present—the bowl set— proudly served pretzels and chips. The star light provided an element of class to go with the jugs of salsa.
Things threatened to get out of hand.
We ate curry in the kitchen.
People built ashtrays where there were none. I love my friends.
We need to have a follow-up party to finish the 5lb bag of tortilla chips.
- estimated consumption: 1/4 bottle of whiskey, 2/3 bottle of gin, 2 red bulls, 1/3 bottle of vodka, 2 cases of beer, 3 bottles of wine, 2 bottles apple cider
- peanut butter pretzels, tortilla chips, pretzels, 3 types of hummus, egg rolls, curry, cake
