First bike ride of the season

I had to get up into the hills. I think I had some sort of cold for most of October and felt flabby and gross as a result. So I decided to do the Long Way Down Ride which isn’t The Classic, but I wanted to ease into things.

Along the way up, I really got to missing my riding pal Spokes, now living in NYC.

After leveling off and putting the grueling ascent up Tunnel Road well behind me, I heard a riding couplet talking loudly, most likely in a fashion similar to the way DP and myself spoke whilst riding. Once the pair passed me, I was delighted to see the colors of my new favorite water Metromint^® adorning the female rider. I expressed my shock and approval at MM sponsoring a bike squad…she replied that they were, in essence, their marketing department. [I would later that weekend buy a Metromint water as a special treat for the Monday work grind.]
