The geniuses at Safeway have produced some of the finest after-11pm offerings.

Starting on the left: the “Fudge Stripes” are indeed a “striped shortbread” cookie, but they eat more like a fine wafer covered with the most labor-intensive (and therefore the best) chocolate.
Next we have the “Fudge Mint”, subtitled “fudge covered mint cookies.” They provide the typical and classic “Thin Mint” experience which keeps the “can’t-eat-more-than-two-in-one-sitting” safety mechanism active.
God help us should Safeway ever produce a peanut butter cookie that meets our needs.
Special note: both cookies should be served cold. Classy!
